Ayesha Tariq Founded AWN in 2017 and lead as Chair from a voluntary to a staff lead organisation. Her experience in Grant-making highlighted the lack of applications received from Muslim-led charities to mainstream funders.
Ayesha took on delivering a pet project to organise one of the first events specifically for Muslim not-for-profits (NFPs) to meet funders like BBC Children in Need, London Marathon Charitable Trust, Tudor Trust, Aziz Foundation, Clothworkers’ Foundation and more. Ayesha believes by helping and assisting NFPs, we are strengthening the Muslim communities.
